The Association for Advancing Automation (A3) will host its International Robot Safety Conference in Detroit from November 3 to 5 at Huntington Place. The event targets engineers, safety professionals, and manufacturers by focusing on updated safety requirements for industrial robots, humanoids, and mobile systems. Speakers from major organizations including Amazon Robotics, Nvidia, Boston Dynamics, and OSHA will discuss topics such as Physical AI, risk assessment, and system-integrator responsibilities. Carole Franklin, A3’s director of standards development, emphasized the conference's goal of helping attendees translate safety standards into practical plant floor decisions. Registration is currently open for full or partial attendance, offering access to sessions, exhibits, and networking opportunities. Continuing education credits are available upon request for participants.
