Accelerating software delivery with agentic QA automation using Amazon Nova Act – Part 3
aws ·
This article, the third in a series on Amazon Nova Act, details how QA Studio scales agentic quality assurance across large organizations. It introduces 'applications' as containers that organize tests and assign ownership, solving the chaos of flat test lists. The system provides health metrics via Amazon CloudWatch, including pass rates, trend charts, and a flaky-adjusted health score to identify unstable tests. To manage access, QA Studio implements team-based user management with five cumulative roles ranging from Viewer to Admin. This structure ensures teams only see and modify their own applications unless explicitly shared. Shared access follows a ceiling rule, where effective permissions are limited by the lower of the user's role or the grant level. The backend leverages AWS Cognito for authentication, DynamoDB for storage, and Lambda for enforcing these access controls. Ultimately, these features allow QA automation to grow without losing visibility or control over test integrity.
