Adobe Acquires India-Based AI Marketing Startup Rilo
aiinsider ·
Adobe has acquired Rilo, an India-based AI marketing intelligence startup, through a deal involving licensing and team acquisition, with terms undisclosed. This marks Adobe's second acquisition in India after Rephrase.ai in 2023. Rilo was founded in 2025 by IIT batchmates Georgi Boby and Dhruv Jaglan and had raised $1 million at a $10 million valuation from Peak XV, DeVC, and Day Zero Ventures. The deal reportedly lets investors exit while Adobe absorbs Rilo's intellectual property and six-person team. Rilo's technology automates marketing workflows and enables go-to-market teams to build AI workflows for competitor intelligence, content repurposing, and sales call analysis. Adobe expects these capabilities to strengthen offerings for large enterprise customers and boost brand visibility across AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. The startup is shutting down after the acquisition, which follows Adobe's larger 2025 purchase of SEO firm Semrush for $1.9 billion amid rival Canva's AI expansion.
