Adobe acquires Indian market intelligence startup Rilo
techcrunch ·
Adobe has acquired Rilo, an India-based marketing intelligence startup, through a deal involving licensing and team acquisition, marking Adobe's second acquisition from India after Rephrase.ai in 2023. The companies did not disclose the terms of the agreement. Rilo's technology focuses on automating marketing workflows, including competitor intelligence, content repurposing, and sales call analysis, which could bolster Adobe's existing products for larger customers. Founded by IIT batchmates Georgi Boby and Dhruv Jaglan in 2025, Rilo had raised $1 million from investors at a $10 million valuation. According to a source, investors will exit through the deal, and Adobe will integrate some of Rilo's intellectual property along with its six-member team. Rilo will shut down and no longer be available to customers after the acquisition. An investor from Day Zero Ventures noted that Rilo's workflow builder was ahead of its time and valuable to Adobe. Adobe previously made a major marketing acquisition last year by buying SEO firm Semrush for $1.9 billion.
