British AI neocloud provider Nscale has secured $3.36 billion in convertible financing ahead of its planned U.S. initial public offering later this year. The funding round, led by hedge fund Third Point, provides $2.36 billion immediately with an additional $1 billion from existing investor Nvidia arriving in mid-November. These convertible notes are structured to transform into equity shares once the IPO is finalized. Nscale recently filed paperwork for a listing on the New York Stock Exchange, where it is expected to be valued at approximately $35 billion. The company aims to raise $3 billion through the public offering itself. Since spinning out from Australian cryptocurrency miner Arkon Energy two years ago, Nscale has accumulated over $103 billion worth of contracts. Currently, the firm is developing large-scale data center campuses in locations such as Norway and West Virginia.
