AI compute provider Nscale is looking for $3.5B in pre-IPO financing
techcrunch ·
AI compute provider Nscale, a British infrastructure company founded just two years ago, is reportedly seeking $3.5 billion in financing ahead of a possible IPO as early as this month. According to Bloomberg, the company plans to sell $1.5 billion in convertible notes to investors and seek an additional $2 billion from Nvidia. Nvidia previously participated in Nscale's Series B round in March, a $1.1 billion raise led by Aker that Nscale called the largest Series B in European history; its Series A raised $155 million in December 2024. Nscale recently signed a large deal with Anthropic worth approximately $45 billion. Reports indicate Nscale has told potential investors it has around $103 billion in revenue following that deal, though the figure is a projection based on signed customer leases rather than current sales. TechCrunch reached out to Nscale and Nvidia for comment.
