Data center developer Crusoe has raised $3.9 billion in a Series F funding round, bringing its valuation to $30.9 billion. The round was co-led by Atreides Management, Mubadala Capital, and Valor Equity Partners, with participation from several existing and new investors, including Nvidia and the Qatar Investment Authority. Crusoe also appointed three new board members: Cloudflare CFO Thomas Seifert, Primary Digital Infrastructure’s Bill Stein, and Redwood Materials founder JB Straubel. The funding will support existing projects such as the Abilene, Texas, data center used by OpenAI and the expansion of its modular Spark data centers. CEO Chase Lochmiller said Crusoe aims to control AI infrastructure from power generation through computing output, while the company generates revenue from data center leases, GPU rentals, and AI inference compute. The financing follows a $1.38 billion raise ten months earlier and comes as Crusoe explores a potential IPO; its customers include Meta, Microsoft, and Oracle.
