AI voice startup ElevenLabs doubles valuation to $22B
techcrunch ·
AI voice startup ElevenLabs has doubled its valuation to $22 billion, marking a significant increase from the $11 billion valuation achieved during its $500 million raise in February. The company facilitated this growth through a recent $300 million tender offer, which allowed employees to cash out vested equity shares. This transaction was co-led by major institutional investors Wellington and T. Rowe Price, who intend to hold the stock post-IPO. The move aligns with a broader trend among fast-growing AI firms using employee liquidity as a retention strategy against competitors. This represents the second secondary transaction for the four-year-old company, following a previous $100 million tender at a $6.6 billion valuation in September 2025. Founded in 2022, ElevenLabs is recognized for creating ultra-realistic human voices and sound effects. With this new valuation, the New York- and London-based firm joins the ranks of Europe’s most valuable startups.
