Amazon’s Bee Debuts Two New AI Wearables to Turn Conversations Into Actions
aiinsider ·
Amazon has launched two new AI-powered wearable devices, the Bee Frontier and the Bee Eclipse, following its acquisition of the startup Bee. The Frontier is a wrist-worn or clip-on device priced at $74.99, while the Eclipse is a credit-card-sized accessory that magnetically attaches to smartphones for $99.99. Both gadgets utilize artificial intelligence to record daily conversations and convert them into actionable items such as summaries, to-do lists, and calendar invitations. These products are positioned at a lower price point than competitors like Plaud Note and PocketAI. To ensure privacy, Bee employs a private computing architecture that processes audio in real-time without storing it, using user-controlled encryption keys. While basic features include conversation summaries and limited memory, an $11.99 monthly subscription unlocks unlimited summaries, a personal chat assistant, and integrations with Amazon services and third-party apps. The Frontier is currently available on Amazon, with the Eclipse set to release shortly.
