Amazon’s Bee launches two new personal AI devices, starting at $75
techcrunch ·
Amazon's personal AI wearable maker, Bee, has launched two new devices following its acquisition by the retail giant. The lineup includes the Bee Frontier, a wrist-worn or pin-on device priced at $74.99, and the Bee Eclipse, a credit-card-sized accessory for smartphones costing $99.99. These gadgets utilize artificial intelligence to record conversations, generate summaries, and create actionable to-dos such as calendar invites. While basic features like conversation recaps are free with limited memory, an $11.99 monthly subscription unlocks unlimited summaries and integrations with Amazon services. Privacy is maintained through a private computing architecture that processes audio in real-time without storing raw files, ensuring transcripts remain encrypted and accessible only to the user. The devices also integrate with productivity tools like Gmail and Outlook, as well as Apple’s HealthKit, and can connect to Alexa for hands-free access. The Bee Frontier is currently available for purchase, while the Eclipse will be released shortly.
