Anthropic Unifies Claude Chat and Cowork Into Single Interface, Adds Slides and Docs Features

Anthropic is combining Claude Chat and Cowork in a unified interface so users no longer need to decide which tab to use or switch between tabs manually. The single window will provide access to chat, Cowork, and Artifacts, while Claude automatically directs requests to the appropriate feature. Claude Design, previously introduced for website and prototype work, will also operate across the unified interface. Anthropic is adding tools that let users create, edit, and present slides, with completed presentations downloadable as PDF or PowerPoint files. A new Docs feature supports collaboration on document sections, questions, and comments, while documents and slides can be shared by link and edited on mobile devices. The update is rolling out first to Pro and Max subscribers on web, desktop, and mobile, with free and team plans expected to receive access later, following a Cowork memory upgrade that preserves context across chat sessions.
