Apple is reportedly developing a new enterprise AI server designed for businesses, governments, and AI developers. The system will utilize Apple's proprietary M8 Ultra chips to handle AI inference tasks using pre-trained models. Two versions of the server are planned, featuring either two or four M8 Ultra processors. To facilitate high-speed communication within data centers, Apple is considering Nvidia's NVLink Fusion technology. Although the project was supported by current CEO John Ternus, a market launch is not expected before 2029. Recent trends show increased demand, with major AI labs purchasing Mac Minis and Studios in bulk. This development coincides with a nearly 29 percent jump in Apple's Mac revenue last quarter.
