Arcee AI, a US company developing open-weight foundation models, has closed a Series B round led by Vista Equity Partners, Cambium Capital, and Emergence Capital, valuing the company at more than $1 billion. AI10 Ventures, Hitachi, IAG, M12, P7, and Wipro also participated. The funding will support development of Arcee’s next-generation Trinity models, expand its work with the US Department of Energy, and fund products for deploying open models. The company said its Trinity family includes Trinity Large, a 400-billion-parameter model, and that it trained its 2025 lineup for approximately $20 million. Arcee is collaborating with the Department of Energy and its 17 national laboratories on Genesis-Science-1, an open model for scientific computing. The company’s next phase will focus on increasing model capabilities while improving economic accessibility across its product family.
