aiinsider ·
Axya, an AI-powered procurement platform designed for manufacturers, has secured $17 million CAD in Series A funding. The investment round was led by McRock Capital, with participation from Yamaha Motor Ventures and existing shareholders such as the Business Development Bank of Canada’s Industrial Innovation Venture Fund and Real Ventures. Additionally, the company has established a banking relationship with CIBC to support its expansion. Axya serves key clients in aerospace, defense, and natural resources sectors, including MDA Space and GE Aerospace. Its technology integrates supplier networks with major ERP systems without requiring suppliers to use new portals, achieving a 100% adoption rate through automated data normalization and risk flagging. Founder Félix Bélisle-Dockrill noted that traditional supply chain tools are outdated and procurement remains fragmented despite digital investments. The new capital will be used to enhance AI capabilities in risk detection and optimization while growing sales and engineering teams for North American and international growth.
