aiinsider ·
Bain Capital Ventures has successfully raised $1.6 billion for its eleventh fund, exceeding its initial target. This new capital will be deployed into early-stage companies focusing on artificial intelligence infrastructure, applications, physical AI, security, science, and services. The firm’s investment strategy continues to prioritize pre-seed through Series B rounds, a pattern established in its previous fund where over 82% of capital was allocated to these early stages. Investors in Fund XI include Bain Capital partners, employees, pensions, endowments, and foundations. The venture firm leverages the broader Bain Capital organization, which manages approximately $225 billion, to provide portfolio companies with resources beyond equity, such as debt financing and industry partnerships. Current investments span notable companies like Crusoe, Cognition, Atoms, and Adaptive Security. Co-managing partner Enrique Salem emphasized the team's commitment to supporting ambitious founders through deep connectivity to the real economy.
