aiinsider ·
Blacksmith, a software platform specializing in continuous integration and AI-generated code validation, has achieved unicorn status with a $1 billion valuation. This milestone follows a $66 million Series C funding round led by Sequoia Capital. The company's CEO, Aditya Jayaprakash, highlighted the growing challenge for enterprises to manage increasing volumes of CI jobs as AI agents produce more software. Blacksmith reports that its annual recurring revenue has grown seventeenfold since its inception. To date, the platform has executed over 90 million individual automated code checks for clients such as Mercury and Granola. This latest investment brings Blacksmith's total capital raised to $125 million across three rounds. The rapid valuation increase reflects strong market demand for reliable tools to test AI-written code.
