Bloom, a Detroit-based startup founded in 2023, has secured $3.6 million in seed funding to expand its AI-native marketplace for hardware supply chains. The investment round was led by SNAK Venture Partners and included participation from several other investors such as Flyover Capital and TechNexus. Bloom’s platform connects hardware companies with vetted suppliers and service providers for manufacturing, logistics, and after-sales support. Since its inception, the company reports that over 140 hardware firms have utilized its services, resulting in more than 2,000 successful matches. The new capital will be allocated toward business development, enhancing its BloomPay financing options, and deploying AI agents for tasks like quoting and negotiation. Co-founder Justin Kosmides aims to streamline procurement processes for companies producing drones, robots, and electric vehicles. Investors believe the platform is already demonstrating network effects by becoming a primary source of new business for providers.
