Amazon Bedrock has announced the general availability of GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna, expanding the GPT-6 family for diverse workload needs. GPT-6 Sol targets complex, recurring tasks such as coding and debugging, offering improved reasoning capabilities and reduced factual errors compared to its predecessor. Meanwhile, GPT-6 Luna is optimized for high-volume, repeatable operations like document extraction and classification, prioritizing efficiency and lower latency. Both models are priced significantly lower than their GPT-5.6 counterparts, making advanced intelligence more economical for production use. A key feature supporting these models is explicit prompt caching on Amazon Bedrock, which allows developers to reuse context and reduce processing costs for repeated requests. The infrastructure ensures security through hardware-isolated environments, VPC endpoints, and strict data retention policies that prevent training usage. Organizations can now match specific intelligence levels to different stages of their applications without rebuilding context or compromising performance.
