Building intent-driven UI testing with Amazon Nova Act
aws ·
Epsilon, a data and marketing services company, implemented Amazon Nova Act to scale intent-driven UI testing across its product teams. This approach complements their existing Playwright regression suite by allowing test steps to be written in natural language, making them resilient to cosmetic UI changes. The solution is delivered as a managed multi-tenant platform service, eliminating the need for individual teams to manage browser infrastructure or dependencies. By integrating with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Browser Tool, Epsilon provides isolated, secure browser sessions with built-in audit trails via AWS CloudTrail. The implementation reduced test authoring time by four to six times compared to traditional code-based scripts. Additionally, trajectory replay capabilities ensure a 100 percent pass rate on repeated executions, lowering costs and latency. This architecture allows non-engineers to review and create tests, broadening quality ownership while maintaining strict security through cross-account IAM roles.
