Similarweb data shows ChatGPT has regained ground in AI chatbot website traffic, rising from 52.7 percent three months ago to 55.5 percent. Google Gemini, after a brief strong comeback, has slipped from 27.8 to 25.6 percent. Over the past year, ChatGPT has lost significant share, falling from 73.3 percent, while Gemini doubled its share and Anthropic's Claude grew from 1.9 to 9.3 percent. Smaller players include DeepSeek at 3.4 percent, Grok at 2.4 percent, Copilot at 1.6 percent, and Perplexity at 0.9 percent. The figures cover only website traffic, so mobile interactions through apps like Google's Android Gemini integration and OpenAI's ChatGPT app and desktop version are not counted. Overall, ChatGPT remains dominant but faces growing competition from Gemini and Claude.
