aiinsider ·
Galileo Robotics has introduced Galileo X, a general-purpose ground mobility platform unveiled at the 2026 World Robot Conference in China. The company describes it as an “embodied ground mobility system” combining characteristics of wheeled, vehicle-based, and legged robots. Its integrated hardware architecture and common control framework are intended to coordinate mechanics, actuation, perception, and movement across varied mobility tasks. Galileo says the platform can support precise indoor transport, longer-range off-road travel, and complex-terrain traversal. Potential applications include material handling, warehouse logistics, directional transport, inspection, mobile operating platforms, and use as a mobile chassis for humanoid robots. The company plans to open hardware and software interfaces to outside developers and partners while expanding overseas sales and distribution.
