Corridian Emerges From Stealth with $38M in Funding for Military Autonomous Underwater Vehicles

Corridian has emerged from stealth mode with $38 million in seed funding to develop large autonomous underwater vehicles for military use. Led by Point72 Ventures, the investment will support the creation of the company's first AUV and expand its engineering team ahead of a 2027 flagship unveiling. Founded by former General Dynamics executives, Corridian aims to transport cargo across thousands of nautical miles without a crew, addressing vulnerabilities in surface and air logistics. The vehicles are designed to operate in contested waters using suppliers outside the traditional submarine industrial base. Initial applications include military cargo delivery, intelligence gathering, and surveillance. CEO Mike Guay emphasizes the need for stealth logistics that can reach fight zones even in heavily denied environments. The advisory board includes retired high-ranking naval officials such as Adm. Lisa Franchetti.
