Data and AI agents give a lift to TK Elevator service technicians
microsoft ·
TK Elevator has integrated agentic AI applications to enhance the efficiency of its 25,000 global service technicians. Developed using Microsoft Foundry and Azure OpenAI, these tools provide real-time guidance on devices before technicians arrive at job sites. The AI agents supply critical information such as specific elevator locations, required tools, and relevant technical manuals, eliminating manual searches. After completing maintenance, voice agents record debriefing notes through natural conversation, preserving technician expertise for future reference. This system leverages a decade-long digital transformation that connects elevators to the cloud via IoT sensors and Azure data platforms. Digital Operations Centers analyze this data to calculate health scores and identify emerging issues before they cause breakdowns. By combining structured IoT data with unstructured historical records, TK Elevator improves troubleshooting accuracy and reduces downtime. Technicians report that the AI acts as a helpful assistant, allowing them to focus on repairs while ensuring knowledge is shared across the global workforce.
