Decimal AI Closes $4M in Funding to Build AI Platform for Technical Customer Support
aiinsider ·
Decimal AI has successfully closed a $4 million seed funding round to develop an artificial intelligence platform tailored for technical customer support. The investment was co-led by Khosla Ventures and Kearny Jackson, with additional participation from Atlassian Ventures, Weekend Fund, and former Stripe COO Claire Johnson. The company’s new Customer Engineering Platform utilizes an AI Support Engineer that analyzes code, logs, and production data to resolve issues directly. Founders Sanjeet Hajarnis and Kevin Raji Cherian aim to replace secondhand descriptions with evidence derived from actual product behavior during support escalations. Since its launch in March 2025, Decimal has been adopted by several companies, including Granola and Resilinc, experiencing a 15-fold growth in interaction volume since early 2026. Early adopters have reported significant efficiency gains, with Resilinc cutting resolution times by 62% and Granola doubling its ticket handling capacity. Investors believe this approach addresses the hidden costs of software support by combining AI capabilities with deep contextual understanding.
