Destro AI Raises $8M in Seed Funding to Coordinate Warehouse Robot Fleets
aiinsider ·
Destro AI has secured $8 million in seed funding to expand its software platform for coordinating warehouse robot fleets. The round was co-led by Base10 Partners and Bonfire Ventures, with additional participation from CoFound Partners. The Brooklyn-based startup aims to use the capital to grow its engineering teams and enhance its MothershipOS and VisionOS systems. Unlike hardware manufacturers, Destro offers a robot-agnostic approach that integrates automation across different equipment providers. Its MothershipOS manages task distribution among various robots and resources, while VisionOS handles mobile manipulation using AI models trained on human demonstrations. The technology is already generating commercial revenue and running in production environments with global logistics providers like Yusen Logistics (Americas). Founder and CEO Manthan Pawar emphasizes that the company focuses on the intelligence layer rather than building new robots. This strategy allows customers to improve throughput and reliability without being locked into a single vendor's hardware.
