Domain and publish date filters for Web Search on AgentCore
aws ·
AgentCore, part of Amazon Bedrock, now offers runtime domain and published-date filters for its Web Search connector, version 1.2.0. These per-request filters let developers restrict which web domains an agent can search and limit results to a specific publication date window, enforced server-side without extra orchestration. The feature is designed to complement existing admin-level domain policies, where runtime filters can narrow but never expand the scope set by administrators. The release also expands Web Search availability to two new AWS regions: eu-west-1 (Dublin) and ap-northeast-1 (Tokyo). The article explains the new API parameters, provides code examples for creating a filtered target and invoking with runtime filters, and includes scenarios like compliance research and stock updates. Filter compliance prioritizes precision, excluding results without recognizable domains or publication dates when filters are active. Each of the four domain lists (admin include/exclude, runtime include/exclude) supports up to 100 entries independently.
