Eka Robotics Raises $150M Series A to Scale Vision-Force-Action Model for Dexterous Robots
aiinsider ·
Eka Robotics has secured $150 million in Series A funding to advance its dexterous robot technology, achieving a reported valuation of $1.45 billion. The investment round was led by Andreessen Horowitz and F-Prime, with participation from existing seed investors and strategic partners like Samsung Next. The company aims to scale its proprietary Vision-Force-Action (VFA) model, which integrates visual data with physical force feedback to improve manipulation precision. By leveraging simulation and reinforcement learning, Eka claims its robots can perform up to 1,500 pick operations per hour, significantly outpacing the human baseline of 600. This approach addresses the challenge of transferring skills from simulated environments to real-world applications involving unfamiliar objects. Founders Pulkit Agrawal and Tuomas Haarnoja bring extensive experience in reinforcement learning and robotics control to the venture. The newly raised capital will support broader task capabilities and accelerate customer deployments for industrial use cases.
