Extend Robotics Raises £2.6M in Funding to Expand Outcome-Based Industrial Robotics Model

Extend Robotics has secured £2.6 million in pre-Series A funding to expand its innovative Result-as-a-Service model for industrial automation. Led by Skyworks Venture Capital Fund with participation from Neo Venture Europe and Zip Capital, the investment supports growth across the UK and Europe. The company’s AMAS platform combines immersive teleoperation with AI assistance, allowing users without robotics expertise to control robot arms and humanoids remotely. Under this service model, manufacturers pay for completed work outputs rather than purchasing hardware outright, shifting risk to Extend. Founded in 2021, Extend reports having 35 subscription customers across four regions, including sectors like agriculture, automotive, and nuclear energy. Recent deployments include quality control at Adrian Scripps and high-voltage component installation at Leyland Trucks. The startup is also developing a distributed remote-operator network to enable off-site manufacturing work in hazardous environments.
