Fashion app Daydream uses Apple Intelligence to help you shop the outfits in your camera roll
techcrunch ·
Fashion discovery app Daydream has launched two new features powered by Apple Intelligence, enabled by the release of iOS 27. These tools allow iPhone users to convert saved outfit photos from their camera roll into shoppable results without opening the application. The first feature utilizes image-context capabilities to analyze saved images, identifying individual clothing items and matching them against a catalog of approximately three million products. It can locate exact retailers if items are in stock or suggest similar alternatives if they are unavailable, while also handling specific variation requests like color changes. The second feature introduces a Siri-powered natural language search, enabling users to find personalized fashion recommendations via voice or text commands directly through Siri. To enhance personalization, users can utilize the 'Style Passport' feature, which tailors results based on size, brand preferences, style, and budget. Co-founder Julie Bornstein positions these updates as steps toward a broader vision of an AI shopping agent that understands user style across all life surfaces. This development adds Daydream to a competitive landscape of AI shopping tools, distinguishing itself through specialized fashion expertise and credible brand partnerships.
