Flox Intelligence Opens $10M Series A to Scale AI Wildlife Deterrents for Infrastructure
aiinsider ·
Flox Intelligence, a spinout from the AI lab at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, has opened a $10 million Series A funding round. The startup aims to scale its AI-powered wildlife deterrent systems designed for roads, railways, airports, and other infrastructure. Founded by Sara Nozkova, Flox develops edge devices that process data on-site using on-device models to identify animals and emit species-specific sounds. Approximately 150 devices are currently deployed across North America, Europe, and Australia at various sites including airfields and national parks. The company expects to generate about $1.5 million in revenue in 2026 and holds OEM partnerships with entities such as train maker Alstom. This new capital will support growth to several thousand units and expand beyond current wildlife use cases. Flox is also a finalist in the Startup Battlefield 200 competition at TechCrunch Disrupt.
