Former Infosys chief’s AI startup nabs another $53M
techcrunch ·
Hang Ten Systems, an AI startup founded by former Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka, has secured an additional $53 million in seed funding just five weeks after its initial raise. This new investment, led by Temasek’s Xora platform, brings the company's total capital to $85 million, with participation from notable investors such as Intel and Micron executives. The startup focuses on helping large enterprises reshape their software development processes by leveraging AI to reduce costs and time-to-market. Hang Ten is currently working with major clients like Saudi Aramco and Siemens Energy, having signed multimillion-dollar contracts within days of initial meetings. Despite entering a crowded market dominated by model developers and traditional consultants, Sikka argues that independent partners are essential for enterprise needs. The company utilizes an in-house framework called Hobie to deliver production-ready software rather than simple proofs of concept. Although it has received serious acquisition offers, Hang Ten plans to use the fresh capital to expand its engineering and sales teams globally.
