Germany’s Agile Robots Launches Agile ONE SN Humanoid Research Platform Built on Nvidia GR00T
aiinsider ·
German robotics company Agile Robots has introduced the Agile ONE SN, a compact humanoid research platform designed to streamline the development of robot skills. Built on Nvidia’s Isaac GR00T framework and Jetson Thor hardware, the system integrates data collection, simulation, training, and deployment into a single unified environment. The 1.4-meter tall robot weighs 43 kilograms and features 71 degrees of freedom, including dual tactile five-finger hands capable of lifting a three-kilogram payload per arm. It is equipped with advanced sensing technologies such as RGB-D cameras, wrist cameras, and 3D lidar to support complex manipulation tasks. The platform ships preconfigured with the GR00T 1.7 open vision-language-action model and associated development workflows to accelerate R&D processes. Institutions like Stanford University and ETH Zurich are currently considering the system for their research labs. Agile Robots aims to reduce integration work by allowing researchers to transfer skills developed on this compact unit to larger industrial models. The Agile ONE SN is scheduled to become available in early 2027.
