aiinsider ·
GMI Cloud has secured $668 million in new financing to accelerate its global AI infrastructure expansion. The funding package includes a $223 million Series B equity round led by ARCHIV, with participation from NVIDIA and various Asia-Pacific investors, alongside a $445 million credit facility led by CTBC. This capital will support capacity growth in the United States, Taiwan, and the wider Asia-Pacific region, building upon existing facilities like the Taiwan AI Factory and Japan sovereign AI initiative. Since the end of 2025, GMI Cloud’s contracted annual recurring revenue has increased more than ninefold, while its inference platform now processes approximately 4 trillion tokens weekly. Notable customers utilizing the service include Fireworks, OpenRouter, Nous Research, and Trend Micro. CEO Alex Yeh emphasized that the company’s strategic location within Taiwan’s supply chain ensures reliable delivery of GPU clusters to meet surging demand. The investment aims to help GMI Cloud scale its unified cloud platform for compute, inference, and agents across continents.
