Google Cloud and NVIDIA have announced the general availability of NVIDIA Vera Rubin Infrastructure, specifically through Google Cloud A5X instances. These instances are powered by NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 systems and integrate advanced networking and liquid-cooling technologies to support large-scale agentic inference and reinforcement learning. The platform is designed to facilitate experience-driven learning by combining compute, networking, and storage into an integrated system. Ineffable Intelligence, founded by AlphaGo creator David Silver, was the first customer to access the A5X instances for developing continuously improving 'superlearner' systems. Additionally, WPP demonstrated how its creative agents can utilize these instances to execute complex workflows with human oversight and governed security. To address data privacy concerns, Google Cloud is also offering NVIDIA Confidential Computing on both bare metal and virtual machine instances. This infrastructure aims to optimize performance per watt while expanding capacity within existing data-center power budgets.
