Google’s AI Mode can now track flight prices, help book hotels, and more
techcrunch ·
Google announced new trip-planning and booking features for AI Mode, its conversational search experience. Users can now ask the tool to track flight prices from over 300 airlines and travel sites, and they will receive email alerts when prices change for their selected destinations and dates. Flight price tracking is available in more than 180 countries. The update also enables hotel discovery and booking through conversation, with features like reviews, cancellation policy details, and checkout via Google Pay. Hotel booking is rolling out in the U.S. in English, with partners including Booking.com, Expedia, Hilton, Marriott, and others. Additionally, AI Mode can now display flight and hotel costs in points or miles for eligible loyalty programs, a feature available globally. These updates position AI Mode as more of an AI travel agent that handles parts of the planning and booking process.
