Google’s new ‘CC’ is an AI agent that helps families run their households
techcrunch ·
Google is testing an updated version of CC, an AI agent that works across email, calendars, chats, and tasks to help families coordinate their households. The service evolved from a productivity tool into one focused on school schedules, sports, bills, meals, and other family responsibilities. CC has its own Google account, allowing up to six family members to collaborate while choosing which information to share with it. It can track dates and to-dos, add events to shared calendars and task lists, and handle selected tasks such as completing permission slips, creating shopping lists, and planning meals. The agent can ask for missing details and update its shared memory to improve future assistance. CC runs on an isolated cloud computer powered by Gemini and Antigravity, but the experiment is currently limited to U.S. users aged 18 or older with personal Gmail accounts; existing users will be invited to upgrade, while new users can join a waitlist.
