GXO, Agility Robotics Expand Digit Humanoid Deployments to Two More U.S. Warehouses

GXO Logistics and Agility Robotics are expanding their deployment of Digit humanoid robots to two additional U.S. warehouses in North Carolina and Tennessee, with operations scheduled to begin in early 2027. This move builds upon a successful commercial partnership established at a Georgia facility, where the robots have already moved over 100,000 totes since a pilot program began in late 2023. The new sites will initially utilize Digit 4 models before transitioning to the newer Digit 5 version once it becomes commercially available. GXO CEO Patrick Kelleher highlighted the partnership's success in creating operational value and improving working environments for teams. Meanwhile, Agility Robotics is scaling its manufacturing capacity through its RoboFab facility in Oregon, aiming to produce up to 10,000 robots annually. The company has accumulated more than 65,000 hours of real-world operation across its programs, contributing to the development of its latest robot model. Additionally, Agility is preparing for a public listing via a merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI, expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.
