Heidi Secures $340M at $900M Valuation to Expand AI Care Partner Beyond Clinical Documentation
aiinsider ·
Heidi, a clinical AI company, has secured $340 million in new funding at a $900 million valuation to expand its services beyond initial clinical documentation. The investment round includes a $100 million Series C led by Blackbird and a $240 million growth investment from General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund, with participation from existing investors such as Phoenix Court and Point72 Private Investments. Originally known for an AI scribe that captures real-time clinical notes, Heidi plans to leverage task-specific medical foundation models to handle pre-charting, diagnostic follow-ups, and other operational tasks. The company emphasizes that it leaves all medical judgment to clinicians while utilizing full clinical conversations rather than condensed health records to improve accuracy. Currently, the platform supports 2.8 million patient visits weekly across 190 countries and 110 languages, having grown annual recurring revenue from $1 million to $50 million in just two years. Major customers include NHS Midlands, Metro South Health, Health New Zealand, and Beth Israel Lahey Health. Founded by Dr. Tom Kelly, Heidi aims to place an AI Care Partner beside every clinician worldwide while maintaining close collaboration with regulators.
