Hesai Launches Kosmo 3D Data Platform for Robot Training and World Models
aiinsider ·
Hesai has launched Kosmo, a comprehensive 3D data platform designed to transform real-world environments into digital spaces for robot training and world models. The system integrates the Kosmo One spatial camera with the cloud-based Kosmo World platform to capture geometry, color, and texture with millimeter-level accuracy. A single operator can scan a typical 100-square-meter indoor area in approximately 15 minutes, after which the platform generates simulation-ready environments using 3D Gaussian Splatting and generative AI reconstruction. Hesai demonstrated the technology's efficiency at a Dairy Queen store, where a complex 3D training environment was created in 15 minutes compared to the usual 300 hours of manual modeling. This rapid generation enabled a Sharpa robot to achieve a 99% task success rate while significantly reducing failure rates. Beyond robotics, the platform supports world model development by generating over 10,000 training trajectories from a single captured environment. The company is also expanding its physical AI business through robotic actuation modules and new partnerships with Galbot and Dexmal.
