HoneyBook bets on agentic AI to streamline small business operations with its new Claude connector
ainews ·
HoneyBook has launched HoneyBook MCP, a connector for Anthropic's AI assistant Claude, aiming to bring agentic AI capabilities to small and independent businesses. The move addresses a gap highlighted by McKinsey, which found that larger enterprises are far more likely to use AI in everyday operations than smaller companies. HoneyBook's CRM platform consolidates customer data, and the new connector lets business owners ask Claude questions about leads, invoices, and other records, as well as take actions like sending invoices and creating contracts. Early adopters reported saving hours previously spent tracking unpaid invoices and surfacing old leads. The connector also includes privacy safeguards, running requests in an isolated sandbox that is expunged after each session and offering granular access controls. HoneyBook notes that small business owners who adopt AI earn significantly more revenue, and that the tool could turn AI from a curiosity into a daily reliance for independent service providers.
