How Boomi Scribe streamlines documentation using AWS
aws ·
Boomi Scribe is an AI-powered agent built on AWS that automates the documentation of integration workflows, addressing a common source of technical debt for enterprise developers. It represents Boomi integration processes as Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) and parses their XML metadata to extract relevant features. The agent converts these features into a structured dot notation format and uses Amazon Bedrock with Anthropic's Claude Haiku 4.5 to generate comprehensive documentation, including process overviews, metadata, business context, and step-by-step functions. Boomi Scribe also compares DAG versions to highlight meaningful changes and insights, helping with planning and communication. The solution is built on a scalable AWS architecture using Amazon S3 for storage, DynamoDB as a backend datastore, and Lambda to orchestrate the pipeline from parsing to documentation generation. By automating this process, Boomi Scribe reduces manual documentation effort, improves accuracy, and supports auditing and compliance needs for over 33,000 Boomi customers.
