How Companies Are Using NVIDIA DSX to Break the Power Bottleneck
nvidia ·
Companies are increasingly adopting the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Platform to address the critical power bottleneck hindering infrastructure development. With over $300 billion in equipment backlogged and significant projects stalled in U.S. interconnection queues, the industry faces severe delays due to historically siloed grid, facility, and compute systems. NVIDIA DSX integrates these components by allowing engineers to simulate the entire system from substation to rack before construction begins. Key features like DSX Flex transform AI factories into flexible grid assets that sync with local generation and grid conditions. Major partners such as GE Vernova, Hitachi Energy, Schneider Electric, and Siemens Energy are collaborating to provide validated reference architectures and digital twin technologies. These integrations aim to maximize compute output per watt while improving sustainability and grid reliability. For instance, Phaidra has utilized DSX tools to achieve approximately 10% more compute within existing power envelopes. Additionally, Emerald AI’s integration with DSX Flex is projected to unlock up to 100 gigawatts of underused capacity on the current U.S. grid.
