How GoDaddy transformed its analytics with Amazon Quick

GoDaddy, a large domain registrar and web hosting company serving over 20 million customers, faced analytics challenges from more than 5,000 dashboards, rendering times exceeding 15 minutes, and rising infrastructure costs. The company migrated from its legacy business intelligence tool to Amazon Quick (formerly Amazon Quick Sight) over a two-year period, citing native AWS integration, pay-as-you-go pricing, and built-in machine learning as key factors. By rationalizing the dashboard portfolio to fewer than 2,500 assets and shutting down the legacy tool in December 2025, GoDaddy cut rendering times to under five seconds and saved an estimated 15,000 hours annually. A flagship financial dashboard called the Cash Dash improved performance more than tenfold and added automated anomaly detection with a 1/10/60 incident response model. GoDaddy also adopted Amazon Quick features like custom chat agents and Quick Flows, which automated weekly business reviews and generated an additional estimated 7,900 hours of annual savings. The transformation marked a cultural shift from a centralized BI model to self-service, AI-powered analytics available to every employee, with over 4,298 active users by the end of 2025.
