Iceland-based Treble raises $18 million for its voice simulation platform
techcrunch ·
Iceland-based startup Treble has raised $18 million in a Series A extension led by Paladin Capital Group to expand its voice simulation platform. Founded in 2020 by acoustic engineers Finnur Pind and Jesper Pedersen, the company now boasts over $40 million in total funding and counts Amazon and Logitech among its customers. Treble provides synthetic data generation and model evaluation services for voice AI developers, aiming to address the industry's data challenges through accurate physics simulation rather than relying solely on internet-scraped recordings. The platform also assists hardware manufacturers with virtual prototyping for headphones, smart speakers, and emerging devices like smart glasses. Co-founder Finnur Pind highlighted the potential for next-generation wearables to offer 'superhuman hearing' capabilities in noisy environments. Additionally, Treble is expanding its focus into physical AI sectors, including robotics, automotive, and drone industries. Investor Francois Ruether noted that as more products rely on sound understanding, Treble's simulation-native infrastructure becomes increasingly valuable across these diverse fields.
