aiinsider ·
French startup Inbolt has secured $12.5 million in new funding to expand its AI-powered 3D vision software for industrial robots. Led by Shift4Good, the investment round includes participation from Bridges Climate Transition Partners, BNP Paribas Développement, and Ora Global, bringing the company's total capital raised to $34 million. Founded in 2019 by Rudy Cohen, Albane Dersy, and Louis Dumas, Inbolt aims to use these funds to grow its operations in the U.S. and Asia-Pacific markets. The company plans to enter new sectors such as data centers and electronics manufacturing while strengthening its presence in automotive production. Its hardware-agnostic software allows robots to perceive environmental changes and adjust movements in real time, addressing issues like part misalignment. Currently, Inbolt’s technology is deployed on over 200 robots across more than 100 factories globally, serving major clients including Bosch, Ford, and Toyota. The software runs natively on platforms from manufacturers such as Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, Yaskawa, Comau, and Universal Robots.
