Bengaluru-based AI startup Runable has raised $21 million in a Series A round co-led by Susquehanna Venture Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from Together Fund and Array VC. The all-equity round valued the company at $65 million post-investment. Founded in 2025 by Umesh Kumar and Saksham Sarda, Runable initially built browser-based AI infrastructure before pivoting to an AI agent that lets users create websites and apps through natural language prompts while handling deployment and analytics. The company is now expanding into growth services such as running ad campaigns, managing social media, and improving visibility across AI chatbots to help small business owners acquire customers. Runable reports 1.7 million registered users, with the U.S., U.K., and Japan as key markets, and users consumed over 1 trillion tokens in the past 90 days. The company operates at negative gross margins due to subsidized AI usage, but expects falling inference costs to improve its economics. It competes with agents from Anthropic and OpenAI as well as coding platforms like Cursor and Replit, focusing on outcomes for nontechnical small business owners.
