Instinct, a company developing a personal AI agent for daily tasks, has secured an additional $1 billion in Series C funding. The investment round was led by prominent firms Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital, and Coatue, valuing the startup at $10 billion. Founder Noah Shinn stated that this capital will help expand access to the product and advance the future of personal artificial intelligence. Currently in early access, Instinct’s agent handles complex everyday activities such as planning road trips, ordering groceries, and cancelling subscriptions via text or phone calls. Recent updates include a Concierge service for high-touch bookings and a Trusted Person Network that allows agents to coordinate plans and share files with one another. The platform also features location-based suggestions through iMessage and enhanced privacy measures, including an active detective system designed to catch hallucinations before they are executed. Based in San Francisco, Instinct aims to manage the nuanced aspects of users' lives while maintaining strict security protocols.
