Introducing Gemini 3.8 Flash and 3.8 Flash Cyber

Google DeepMind announced Gemini 3.8 Flash and Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, its latest AI models released about three weeks after 3.7 Flash. Both variants share the same foundational intelligence and are designed for agentic workflows, with 3.8 Flash targeting long-horizon coding and autonomous agents at the same price as 3.7 Flash. The Flash model shows significant gains in software engineering and specialized reasoning benchmarks. The Cyber variant is a cybersecurity-focused model offering frontier-level vulnerability discovery and automated patching, available only to trusted defenders through the new Fairwind Program. It was internally tested by Google teams, including Chrome Security and Cloud Vulnerability Research, showing improved performance and faster vulnerability detection. The models include safety measures against misuse, with the Cyber version having more permissive cyber mitigations. The release is available to developers via Google AI Studio and other tools, and to consumers through Google AI Pro/Ultra subscribers.
