Kaszek Makes First Aviation AI Investment, Backing TravelX’s Trillion-Dollar Dynamic Inventory Vision
aiinsider ·
Kaszek, a leading Latin American venture capital firm, has made its first investment in aviation technology by backing TravelX, an AI-native company focused on post-booking revenue management. This investment is part of a Series A round that included Thayer Ventures and brought TravelX's total funding to $45 million. TravelX's platform aims to transform static airline inventory into dynamic, continuously optimized inventory by analyzing real-time operational conditions, customer behavior, and demand after a ticket is sold. CEO Juan Pablo Lafosse said airlines can unlock significant untapped revenue opportunities after booking, and the funding will accelerate product innovation and global expansion. TravelX currently partners with airlines including Viva, Volaris, AirAsia, WestJet, GOL, Scoot, and Cebu Pacific. Kaszek partner Nicolas Berman expressed belief that AI will fundamentally change how airlines monetize inventory and optimize networks.
