aiinsider ·
Kevel, an API-first ad tech infrastructure provider for commerce media networks, has secured $52 million in its largest funding round to date. This investment includes expanded capital from Fulcrum Equity Partners, dunnhumby Ventures, and Iberis Capital, along with growth capital from ORIX USA, bringing the company's total raised funds above $100 million. The company currently powers over 100 commerce media networks, including major retailers like Tesco, Home Depot, and PayPal. Founder and CEO James Avery stated that the new capital will enable retailers to own their monetization and data while competing effectively against larger platforms. Kevel plans to prioritize transparent AI in its product roadmap, ensuring that all ranking, bidding, and placement decisions are explainable and configurable by users. The funding will also support global expansion into new retail categories and deeper strategic advisory services. Cafferty & Company served as the sole advisor for this transaction.
